Leaves divided into oval to rectangular leaflets up to 2 inches long and 1 inch wide

Leaves rounded at the ends and with smooth margins.

Blue-green, feathery foliage.

Can grow to be anywhere between 30 and 70 feet tall.

Branching tends to fork and become crooked.

Fragrant, white, pea-like blossoms.
-
Flowers appearing in April and May.
-
Native to the southeastern United States but has been widely planted and naturalized throughout the US.
